Centiki Charter

Centiki Charter

I returned a favor to my good friend Jacques Persil by granting the Treasury of Centiki a credit line of 1,000 trillion ki. The funds will finance the legacy companies IPOs and provide the capital required to open the Exchange.

The loan is not unconditional. Every business conducted on the Exchange must meet an ethical standard. Centiki must also prove that it can support itself by paying an annual fee of 1% on the funds it actually uses. Above all, the money must serve a purpose: make the world cool again.

I believe I secured an excellent bargain. Bankers possess a peculiar instinct for detecting profit from a considerable distance. I spent days investigating one question: What will one ki be worth in one hundred years? The answer finally came from a movie: about one hundred dollars.

Centiki now has the capital to begin. The Exchange can open. The money is already inside the machine, waiting to become companies, votes, arguments, fortunes, failures, disasters, and, with some luck, something useful.

But money cannot make the world cool by itself. What happens next will depend on the Directors who join the Board and decide where Centiki goes. When you become a Director, you do not merely join the Board. You inherit the mission.
